In the State of Florida to apply Restricted Use Pesticides a/k/a RUP one only needs to apply for a RUP License. There are classes and continuing classes. That's it.
There is NO REGULATION what RUP are being applied and where.
I am getting right to the meat of my statement:
A farmer preps his fields, To sterilize the soil for planting: the soil is huddled, the RUP is knifed in to the huddled soil so many inches deep, plastic mulch is laid down to conceal the RUP in the huddled soil while all ends are covered with soil to further conceal the pesticide to keep it escaping in to the air which may cause pesticide drift; the pesticide leaving target area for another area, after so many days holes are put in to the plastic mulch and the plants are inserted. If all the RUP has not evaporated when the holes are punched the RUP is released in to air making pesticide drift an issue.
Another method used is with drip lines. Same method as above only long drip lines go down the rows. Instead of the RUP being knifed into the soil it goes into the drip lines.
For 2015 Plant, City and surrounding areas the community recorded the following RUP being applied to the fields (Strawberries, Cumcumbers and Peppers)

PALADIN (Dimethyl Disulfide) by Arkema
PALADIN EC (Dimethyl Disulfide + Chloropicrin) by Arkema

The name seem totally harmless right? How many of them CAUSE CANCER or Neurological Disorders? How many deep thinking and investigating thinkers are reading this. ....Mad Yet? ....Gonna do something about it yet?
If the community had not recorded what RUP were being applied NO BODY WOULD KNOW except the farmers. NO REGULATION !!!!
Per the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services a/k/a FDACS as long as the RUP is applied according to the label this is the only regulation. WHO IS MONITORING to make sure the farmer is applying the RUP according to the label and WHERE?
HOW this all came about neighbors neighboring agriculture fields were getting sick. Like myself I was getting sick, then my daughter and now my Mom. We got lucky because the farmer next to us was burning the plastic mulch. HUGE Black thick plum of Smoke went in to the air. What was in that Jet Black Smoke to make it so black? I sent a water sample off to be tested out of curiosity and the State of Florida put an air monitoring station near the house. This is how my journey began connecting the RUP "Restricted Use Pesticides" to us getting sick beside the foul odor which is always our eminent demise of getting sick.
BUT, The farmer doesn't believe it's neighbors are getting sick from the pesticides. The farmer depends on the EPA and here in Florida FDACS to make sure the RUP they are using are safe. BUT, the chemicals companies are self governing themself. How does one explain this to a farmer they are applying what they believe to be a safe product where WE THE NEIGHBORS can NOW PROVE they are not?
Has anybody ever asked WHERE the RUP are manufactured? I have sourced them from China! Guess what happened on 3/11/11???? "FUKUSHIMA" I will pose the question again and let see if ones get it.... Where are RUP manufactured? NOW I ask who is testing chemicals coming from China for Radiation Contamination?
Lets take it to another level with this information from above:
If 2 farmers live next to one another and apply 2 different RUP's wouldn't this mix the 2 RUP in the air? How contaminated is the air, water, soil, plant, FOOD?
If a farmers applies a RUP next to a water source is the farmer contaminating the water source where the RUP is being applied? How many water sources are there in Florida? How many pools are in Florida? How much of Florida is water? Where does all this water go eventually? Watersheds? Streams? Lakes? Rivers? Gulf-of-Mexico? Oceans?
