  • Seek Medical Treatment - When you let your doctor know they are bound by laws to report it to agencies.  {Plus, it will trigger other agencies to look in to the cause of the smell and/or generate data that will be shared when it comes times for the pesticide to be renewed or banned from use.)
TO: YOUR DOCTOR or Medical Person(s) - When seeking medical attention ASK if they will test you for the flu and/or other illness.  PLUS, ask them, “Could this be related to pesticide exposure?” NOTE: Very important to let your doctor know that you live near or in the area where there are agricultural fields.
  • Florida Poison Information Center - Phone: (813) 844-7044 - They will ONLY take down information you feel you are experiencing from the smell then advise you to seek medical attention.  BUT, you let them know.
  • Hillsborough County, FL Health Department - You will ONLY be Filing a Report with all your symptoms from exposure to the smells. This will be recorded and REQUEST your report be sent over to FDACS and a copy sent to you.

  • If you have not already done so ... Evacuate your home and please remember your pets.

Something to consider: If you are experiencing a smell and feel with confidence the agricultural fields, "The Pesticides" are making you sick this is called, "PESTICIDE DRIFT".  In the State of Florida and per the Florida Constitution this is iLLEGAL.  WHO Enforces Florida's Constitution?....The Sheriff!
